What is the JCI National Convention 2026?
“NCN 2026”, organised by JCI Genk under the theme “From coal to bang”, was JCI Belgium’s annual national gathering for young entrepreneurs and professionals aged 18 to 40. NCN stands for “National Convention” (Nationale Conventie / Convention Nationale).

Programme highlights
The weekend opened on Friday evening with the Get Acquainted Party (GAP) at M-Hotel, preceded by the “Matched by JCI” golf tournament at Spiegelven, which started around noon. Saturday centred on C-mine, the former Winterslag coal mine. The day included the General Assembly, keynotes on change management in times of AI by Johan Thijs (CEO of KBC Group), Peter Croonen (chairman of KRC Genk) and Katleen Vandersmissen (Heran), workshops and company visits. A celebratory gala dinner and party closed the day. On Sunday, an optional brunch wrapped up the weekend.
