JCI European Know-How Transfer 2026: youth ambition, European action
What does it actually feel like to walk the corridors of the European Parliament and sit across from the people shaping Europe’s future? That’s exactly what the JCI European Know How Transfer makes possible and this October, it’s happening on Belgium’s doorstep.
From 11 to 15 October 2026, the European Know How Transfer (EUKHT) returns to Brussels under the theme “Youth Ambition, European Action”. As one of JCI Europe’s flagship programmes, the JCI European Know-How Transfer brings together young leaders from across the continent for four days of immersion in the European decision-making process.
What you’ll experience
At its core, the JCI European Know How Transfer is a job-shadowing programme. You spend time directly with members of the European Parliament: attending meetings, joining discussions and seeing firsthand how EU policy is actually made. But it goes well beyond a guided tour. Alongside the MEP shadowing, the programme includes training sessions, panel discussions and workshops designed to sharpen your understanding of how the EU institutions work and how you, as a young leader, can play a role in shaping them.
Altiero Spinelli Prize
Running since 2005, the European Know How Transfer earned international recognition in 2019 when it received the Altiero Spinelli Prize for Outreach, awarded for bringing citizens closer to the European Union. A well-earned distinction for a programme that has been doing exactly that since 2005.
For questions about the programme, reach out to Isabel Simon (2026 Vice President for Europe and programme manager).
